11 Best Valentine's Day Episodes

Valentine's Day is here! What do I like to do? I like to go back and watch my favorite guys confess their feelings to their girl (/another character) or see my couple finally get their chance. Or watch Darren Criss sing Silly Love Songs and pretend he's singing it to me.

Dawson's Creek: Valentine's Day Massacre
Here we are in Dawson's life-Joey is the angel on his shoulder and Pacey is the devil. Jack struggles with telling his ex-girlfriend he's gay. Jen goes on her first date with Henry is not nervous (but really she is.) Dawson wants to be more of a typical teenager and so he goes to this party and is going to kiss the girl. But really? He's Dawson so nothing happens. He talks about something happening, but nothing does. And Pacey is struggling with his secret feelings for Joey.
Best quote-
JoeyWell...because, I mean Satan himself could lead Dawson into the fiery pits of hell and he would still come out with his moral code firmly intact, but you....maybe I think that nobody's worrying about you right now.
Pacey: So then, what you're really saying is, given the highly dysfunctional nature of our relationship, this is actually how you express concern for me?
JoeyYou gotta learn to read between the banter, Pacey.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer-Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered
Xander casts a spell to try and make Cordelia love him, because he thinks she's ashamed of their relationship. But, surprise! Things backfire and don't go as Xander plans. The spell ends up making every other woman in Sunnydale obsessed with him besides Cordy. And so hilarity ensues.
Best quote-
Cordelia: Why has everyone gone insane??
Xander: Insane? Is it so impossible for you to believe that other women find me attractive?
Cordelia: The only way you could get girls to want you would be witchcraft.
Xander: That is such a!-well, yeah, okay, good point.

That 70s Show-First Date
Awww, Donna and Eric's first date:) And on Valentine's Day! So sweet. Except...not. See, Hyde has this thing for Donna so he goes and almost crashes the dinner, and, well, Donna is really nervous about the date so she gets drunk at dinner.
Best quote-
JackieI can't believe you, Michael.
KelsoWhat?
JackieYou can't just maul me in front of my father!
KelsoI bet he didn't even notice.
JackieHe yelled at you to stop it.
KelsoI thought he was yelling at you.

Community-Communication Studies
The community college has a Valentine's Day coming up and Britta and Jeff and Slater exchange drunken voicemails that reveal to secret feelings. And Abed helps Jeff get drunk which is pretty hilarious.
Best quote- She has more fights about stuff that doesn't matter than a youtube comment section.

Smallville-Crimson
So a witch or something gives Lois this red (kryptonite) lipstick that makes her fall in love with the first guy she sees. And who does she see? She sees Clark! At first, Clark is startled and unsettled by Lois' very forward actions towards him, but then Lois kisses him. When Clark gets red kryptonite in his system, all his inhibitions go out the door. So he makes out with Lois a lot, and crashes Lana and Lex's engagement dinner.
Best quote-
ChloeWhat are you doing? We were supposed to take Clark out tonight, remember?
JimmyYeah, well, Lois was out alone, and then it hit me; Lois, and Clark.
ChloeLois and Clark?!
JimmyYou got to admit, they got chemistry.
ChloeYeah, so do nitroglycerin and peroxide, and I don't suggest putting them together.

The Office-Valentine's Day
Michael lets it slip that he and Jan have a relationship. Phyllis gets a lot of presents from "Bob Vance, Vance Refridgeration." And Angela gives Dwight the famous Dwight bobblehead.
Best quote-
Dwight: Women are like wolves. If you want a wolf, you have to trap it. You have to snare it. And then you have to tame it. Keep it happy. Care for it. Feed it. Lovingly, the way an animal deserves to be loved. And my animal deserves a lot of loving.

Glee-Silly Love Songs
So, Blaine sings a song to his crush at the Gap. Puck sings "Fat Bottomed Girls." Tina (hilariously) sings "My Funny Valentine" to Mike.
Best quote-
Tina [to Santana]Five minutes ago, you said Mr.Schu belonged in a 12 step program.
Will: Wait, what?
Santana: You're addicted to vests.
.

Friends-The One With The Candy Hearts
You remember Janice, right? If I say, "Oh, my, god." will that spark your memory? So Joey gets Chandler into going to a double date with him and some girl they both don't know. But turns out-they do know. Chandler has known her-and dumped her-for quite a while. And yet, she just keeps popping back up. They get drunk and end up sleeping together and spending Valentine's Day as a couple. Janice gets little candy hearts that say, "Chan & Jan Forever." And then Chandler proceeds to dump her. Again. Monica, Rachel, and Phoebe have a bad-boyfriend detox and end up meeting some married firemen. Ross ends up being on a kind-of double date with his lesbian ex-wife.
Best quote-
Janice: Well then ask yourself this. Why do you think we keep ending up together? New Years? Who invited who? Valentine's? Who asked who into whose bed?
Chandler: I did, but-
Janice: You seek me out. Something deep in your soul calls out to me like a foghorn. JANICE. JANICE. You want me. You need me. You can't live without me. And you know it. You just don't know you know it.
-Alternative-The One With the Birthing Video. This one is good, but I usually opt for the other one. Due in part to Chandler's hair.

Boy Meets World-First Girlfriends' Club
Just watch.
(Then watch the other parts.)

The O.C.-The Telenovela
Summer is embarrassed to tell everybody that she's dating Seth and Seth does not like that. He won't "stand" for it. (I put stand in quotes because he actually does stand for it.) Ryan and Marissa try being "just friends" when Ryan's old flame Theresa comes into town.
(I'm actually not totally sure if this is an actual Valentine's Day episode, but the whole kissing booth thing is very Valentine-y, so...)
Best quote-
Summer: Why are you doing this?
Seth: Because I like you. This much.
Nothing like a good Valentine's Day TV show to warm your heart. (Or break it a little bit because of all the great guys that these girls get.)

What are your favorite Valentine-y episodes?

"I'll go with you." -Harry Potter and the End

As I've said before, there are only a couple things that I would've changed about this movie. But it was basically perfect.
This post isn't going to be a reflection on all the movies, I've already done one of those, but just this movie specifically.
There are a couple of key moments I want to go over.
But first, I'm just going to say a couple of the great things about it.
  1. It's soundtrack. Oh my gosh, it's amazing.
  2. The cinematography.
  3. The actors.
  4. The sets.
  5. Everything else.
And here's a few things I would change-
  1. Daniel Radcliffe's hair. They make enough money to spike it a little bit.
  2. I wish, when Harry got the Elder wand, that he would've fixed his Phoenix wand before he broke it. He did that in the books.
  3. I wish Harry and Voldy's fight would've gone down in the Great Hall. That would've been more dramatic in my opinion. But it was still epic.
  4. At the "Nineteen Years Later" thing in the book, everyone is staring at Harry and one of Harry's kids is like, "Why is everybody staring at us?" and Ron's like, "It's me. I'm famous." That would've been so funny to have in the movie.
  5. The camera angle for Ron and Hermione's kiss. I mean, it was still awesome, but all you could really saw was the back of Ron's head. (I did love how they laughed after it, though.)
  6. In the commercial, we saw Ron saying, "We can end this." but in the actual movie, the camera was on Harry when he said this. I wish they wouldn't have changed it.
So here's a key thing I want to go over-
A lot of people feel...what's the right word? Ripped off, maybe? Well, a lot of people feel, for lack of a better word, ripped off in the scene where Harry is headed down to the Forbidden Forest to his death. Hermione was all like, "I'll go with you." and hugged Harry (which was awesome), but Ron and Harry didn't say anything to each other. 'They're best friends! They should've said something or at least hugged each other!' But I disagree. I thinkbecause they're best friends they didn't need to say anything. I remember sitting in the movie theater at that scene and thinking that that was enough. Just that look. I felt that conveyed more that any amount of words would have or could have. They've both always known that it has to be Harry. Just Harry. Ron's known that since the first movie where he sacrifices his chess piece so that Harry can continue on. They've both always known. And they're best friends. They didn't need to reaffirm that they're going to miss each other or that they love each other. They know. They said all they needed to with that one look.
So that was a main thing I wanted to cover because after I saw the movie a lot of people on tumblr were complaining about it.
The entire time I watch this movie, I feel the sad sense of finality. The music, the cinematography...I'm reminded throughout the whole movie: This is the end. And it still makes me a little sad.
If you haven't read all the books and or seen all the movies, you need to.
I really, really, really love Harry Potter.

(Well, for now.)

The Vampire Diaries Mid-Season Finale!

No new episode 'til January! WHY??
The Vampire Diaries Mid-Season Finale! photo 1
(I have seriously been waiting for the right opportunity to use that gif.)
Okay, no new episode 'til January, and I knew that they would do something BIG for their mid-season finale. And, boy, did they. Usually I can't predict what's going to happen on The Vampire Diaries, and this week, that still held true. BUT I did predict that they were going to do something big.
To be honest, I was really hoping they'd give us, like, a Damon and Elena kiss to go crazy over during the hiatus. (Crazy no matter what ship you ship.) But I was sadly disappointed. Not that their other moments weren't amazing. They had an ALMOST kiss (DARN YOU KATHERINE!) (Okay, Katherine, I'm kidding. I love you. But, really, you don't have to call Damon to say goodbye.) (Seriously, next time, just send him a text or something.) (A letter would be good.)
BUT STILL. Amazing episode. One might say, "Of course it was amazing it's The Vampire Diaries." And yes, that is true. EVERY episode is amazing. But, ooh, this one had some major stuff in it. All the planning together and stuff (even though a lot of people were left out of the plan) was remniscent of Masquerade in season 2 for me.
So here goes. I'm not going to give a play by play of what happened, because, well, if you haven't watched it yet, what have you been doing these past...day...? Anyway, I'm going to categorize. One of my favorite things to do.
(Oh man, I was about to type, "Here we go." and then a song that we're singing in choir just popped into my head. I try to keep those ones out but they just snake their way back in!)
Most Surprising Moments:
  • Elena staking Rebekah. I did think it was a little weird for her to be putting on the necklace and putting her hand on Rebekah's shoulder, but I still was not expecting that! I actually felt really bad for Rebekah. She was about to go to her very first high school dance and try and have fun, and then she just gets staked!

  • Katherine pretending to be Elena. I mean, she's disappeared for two whole episodes, and we don't know if she's dead or alive and then it's just like BAM! Katherine's back! The Vampire Diaries Mid-Season Finale! photo 2
Nina Dobrev is so good. I mean, she's Katherine being Elena. And there's subtle differences. But we all thought Katherine was dead or gone. And you wouldn't notice those subtle differences until you rewatch it. You'd just chalk it up to Elena being nervous around Klaus and/or about the plan working out. At least, I did.

  • Stefan tackling Damon and stopping him from killing Klaus. I mean, I wasn't expecting Klaus to die. His character is too awesome to die. (Yes, some may argue that other characters who have died that are very awesome. I agree. Some characters that have died are very awesome. But Klaus seems indisposable to me at this time. *knocks on wood* because now that I say they might just surprise me and actually kill him.) Anyway, I had no idea why he did that. I thought maybe he did that because Klaus compelled him to stop anyone from killing him, and, plus, it would get him his freedom. But I should have known. It makes perfect sense. He was doing it to save Damon. I'm thinking he didn't tell Damon because he knew that Damon wouldn't care. When Damon goes out to fight, and out to win, if it's not just for him, and especially if it's for Elena, he doesn't care about the consequences. Even the self-consequences. That's just who Damon is.

  • Mikael actually dying. I thought he was going to last longer than two episodes.

  • Stefan being in the car with Katherine. I was like, "What?? What did they plan/are planning together?"

  • Stefan stealing the whole dead original family. I knew that he was going to get mad and get revenge, but WHOA. I did not see him doing that.

    Favorite Moments-
    • Caroline going to the back-up Homecoming party and saying, "How did he plan a better party than me?" I love it when that part of Caroline comes out. The party-planning, homecoming-queen part.

    • "Do you trust me?""Yes." Right there. She says yes without any hesitation whatsoever. She trusts Damon. Fact.

    • Rebekah/Elena friendship. Before Elena staked her, I was digging it.

    • Humanity-off Stefan. Yeah, I know, every good thing must come to an end. (*Fun trivia fact. The series finale of Dawson's Creek is titled "Every Good Thing..." [that's part 1] "...Must Come To an End" [that's part 2] or something like that. I'm mentioning this because Kevin Williamson was the creator of Dawson's Creek AND the co-creator of The Vampire Diaries.) Anyway, I like the Stefan that's like, "And one of us is going to let our humanity get in the way." Even though he obviously doesn't mean himself. Which is kind of ironic, because he's the reason that Klaus isn't dead. And why is Klaus not dead? Because of Stefan's humanity.

    • When Klaus is looking for his sister at the wake. You can tell he cares about her.

    • Katherine coming back and being all "Kaboom." She is such a bamf. The Vampire Diaries Mid-Season Finale! photo 3
    • (Yes, using that gif again.)
    • Klaus crying. Seriously. Joseph Morgan is amazing. (His lips always look like he has lipstick on them, though.) He's got some major daddy issues.
    • Damon freaking out and Elena calming him down. "We're never getting Stefan back.""Then we'll let him go, okay?" She doesn't say he'll let him go. She doesn't say I'll let him go. She says they will. Together. AND THEN THEY ALMOST KISS. GOSH DARN KATHERINE.
    • And, of course, Stefan getting revenge. "Are you prepared for this?" I'm so excited for the new episode!
So, definitely a strong episode of TVD.
I am sad that Forwood is over for now.
And, when Katherine said, "Humanity is a vampire's greatest weakness." didn't anyone think she kinda looked like Aunt Jenna for a second there?

        Does anyone else see it?
Ah, well. Regardless of the few disappointments (i.e. Forwood, no Delena kiss), this was a superb tv episode.
During this long hiatus, I don't know. I think I'll finally finish a fanvideo I've been working on for, like, the last month. I really want to make a Damon and Elena one. Check out my other ones here. I may watch some of my TVD season 1 and 2 DVDs. Maybe rewatch some of the season 3 episodes.
The Vampire Diaries really is a superb TV show.
It really SUCKS you in. (Get it? Cuz vampires suck?) NAILED IT!

What was your most shocking/favorite moment in the mid-season finale? What are you going to do during the 2 month hiatus?
